A former Labour Party parliamentary candidate who is an Executive Member of the Labour YIMBY group and an Advisory Board member of PricedOut, Tom Wilson is WPI’s Built Environment Unit lead.

Steven Quartermain
Senior Adviser
Steve has over 40 years of practical and policy experience having previously held senior roles in Local Government, the last 12 years of which saw him run all front line services including an economic development function. Between 2008 and 2020 he was the government’s chief planner.

Chris is a senior economist with over 20 years’ experience in public policy, including roles at MHCLG, DWP, HMT and HMRC, where he worked across a broad range of fiscal and economic issues. His areas of specialism include housing and local development, clean growth and net zero, and taxation.

Paul is a respected economist with over 20 years’ experience managing large teams and delivering high-profile projects. He played a key role in all major housing, planning, and local growth national policy reforms spanning more than a decade, including as Deputy Director of Analysis at MHCLG.

David Morris (Chamberlain Walker)
Senior Analyst, Economic Policy and Strategy
David is a former Senior Civil Servant with roles in the Department for Transport, the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit, and MHCLG. At MHCLG, he was Deputy Director for Local Economic Growth and in this role, David established City Deals, the Local Growth Fund, and the Growing Places Fund.

Sean Worth
Founding Director
Sean is co-founder of WPI Strategy and leads work on policy analysis, political engagement and strategic corporate advice. He spent over a decade working in politics, latterly as a Downing Street special adviser to then Prime Minister, David Cameron. In No10, Sean focused on policy delivery across nearly all areas of domestic policy.
Sean has a PhD in public policy and is a regular broadcast commentator on UK politics. He has performed well over 300 live interviews and written extensively in the UK press, including for the Telegraph, Spectator, FT, Times and others.

Nick Faith
Founding Director
Nick is the co-founder of WPI having previously worked as the Director of Communications for the think tank, Policy Exchange. Nick began his career in the private sector working for a crisis communications consultancy where he worked for a number of blue chip clients. He then moved into public policy with Policy Exchange for four years during the Coalition government before setting up WPI in 2014. Nick also co-founded the Onward think tank and remains a board member and trustee.
