Meet the Team

Nick is the co-founder of WPI having previously worked as the Director of Communications for the think tank, Policy Exchange. Nick began his career in the private sector working for a crisis communications consultancy where he worked for a number of blue chip clients. He then moved into public policy with Policy Exchange for four years during the Coalition government before setting up WPI in 2014. Nick also co-founded the Onward think tank and remains a board member and trustee.

Sean is co-founder of WPI Strategy and leads work on policy analysis, political engagement and strategic corporate advice. He spent over a decade working in politics, latterly as a Downing Street special adviser to then Prime Minister, David Cameron. In No10, Sean focused on policy delivery across nearly all areas of domestic policy.
Prior to government, Sean was head of the Conservative Party’s Policy Unit and worked for the Party through two general elections. His industry experience also includes senior roles, including CEO, of firms in the communications sector, advising companies on government relations and on managing policy and regulatory change.
Sean has a PhD in public policy and is a regular broadcast commentator on UK politics. He has performed well over 300 live interviews and written extensively in the UK press, including for the Telegraph, Spectator, FT, Times and others.

Tom was until recently the Editor of LabourList, the UK’s leading independent platform for Labour news and debate. He brings a wealth of experience as a journalist, having covered education policy for Schools Week, economic policy and business for Yahoo Finance UK, and social affairs at the Liverpool Echo. His work has frequently appeared across a wide-range of national publications, including the Financial Times, The i Paper, The Telegraph and the New Internationalist.
Tom’s expertise in politics, policy and media will further strengthen WPI Strategy’s ability to help clients navigate today’s fast-changing landscape. -

Silvia is a Consultant at WPI Strategy. Prior to this, she spent a year working in ESG consulting and geopolitical analysis, advising clients in the energy and commodities sector and publishing reports on global economic trends.
During her studies, she also gained experience at the Conservative Campaign Headquarters, where she worked across political communications and media engagement.
Silvia holds an MSc in Migration Studies from the University of Oxford and a First-Class BA in International Relations and History from King’s College London.

Tom joined WPI having worked in roles for a number of Labour MPs including Chuka Umunna and Virendra Sharma specialising in digital campaigns and political communications, in the civil service, and the NHS.
He plays an active role on the Executive of Labour YIMBY and Advisory Board to PricedOutUK, both campaigns specialising in housing and planning reform, and has organised and run events in collaboration with industry and featuring Cabinet Ministers, council leaders, frontbench MPs and Metro Mayors.
He stood as Labour's candidate against Rishi Sunak in the 2024 General Election, running a successful disruptive digital, media and ground campaign aimed at derailing the then Prime Minister's campaign efforts.
He brings with him an intimate knowledge of Labour Party politics, the housing sector, wider campaign environment, and an extensive contact book in Labour, civil service, the housing industry, and the press.

Will joined WPI following his MPhil in Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge.
Prior to joining WPI Will worked for St. Mungo’s in their Monitoring and Evaluation department, and spent time as an NGO management trainee for an international charity operating in Rwanda.
He holds a First Class BSc in Politics and International Relations from the University of Bristol, during which he spent a year studying political science at McGill University, Montreal.

Solomon leads on clients across telecoms and aviation, bringing extensive and diverse knowledge of political landscapes and how they will affect businesses.
Solomon joined WPI after graduating from the University of Birmingham with a BA in History which included a year abroad in Rotterdam.

Jack brings a wealth of experience to WPI, gained across diverse fields including UK productivity, distributional analysis, and financial sector regulation during his tenure at HM Treasury. He further refined his expertise at Ofwat and HS2, where he tackled frontier efficiency modelling and assessed the broader social value of major projects.
With a deep understanding of central government operations and advanced skills in data analysis and modelling, Jack excels at navigating complex economic challenges. His ability to deliver clear, actionable insights positions him as a key asset to the WPI team. -

Martin joined WPI with over 20 years’ experience in covering the UK economy, including as Chief Economic Advisor to the EY ITEM Club, UK economist at Oxford Economics and Capital Economics and various economics roles during his 10 years HM Treasury.
As chief economist, Martin heads up our economic division and is leading on our first ever Macroeconomic Consulting offer.

Molly joined WPI in 2025 as a Junior Consultant. She has experience in policy research, political campaigning, and communications, having worked with third sector organisations in the UK, Ecuador, and the U.S.
She holds a First-Class BA (Hons) in French and Spanish from the University of Manchester, where she received multiple academic awards for outstanding performance.

Daniel is an Associate Director at WPI and joined after serving in several senior roles across the Conservative Party in the past half decade.
He leads on financial services and infrastructure clients, working closely with the Office for Investment, NISTA, and HM Treasury.
He is also the Head of Opposition Engagement, which supports businesses of all sizes engage and work with opposition parties such as Reform UK and the Conservatives on their policy development.
Daniel has first-hand political campaigning experience, leading political operations in both the recent Conservative leadership campaign and General Election 2024. He has deep expertise in project delivery, policy advocacy, and devolution, with strong experience working with government to support a spectrum of sectors such as energy, infrastructure, and defence.

Kieron recently joined WPI after a stint at Labour Together and graduating from the University of Exeter with a First Class degree in BA History.

Tom joined WPI Strategy as a Consultant – Data Analyst in early 2025. Before joining, he worked in economic consulting at RSM, where he specialised in data analytics, economic modelling, and policy evaluation.
Prior to that, he spent time at Ipsos, delivering political polling, public opinion research, and policy reviews for government clients.
He holds a First-Class MA (Hons) in Politics with Quantitative Methods from the University of Glasgow.

Fiona joined WPI as a Junior Consultant after graduating with a First Class degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University.
She has experience in British politics, having worked as a researcher in Parliament and for the Adam Smith Institute and Centre for Policy Studies. Here Fiona researched for, edited, and wrote papers, as well as engaging in strategic communications.
