The Built Environment Unit
Building on our work with leading brands across the property, transport and infrastructure sectors, the Built Environment Unit (BEU) is our specialist planning, funding and project delivery support offering.
The BEU is made up of senior former government planning officials, economists and policy experts with deep expertise and connections, and decades of experience.
As part of our partnership WPI and Chamberlain Walker are pleased to announce The Blueprint, a monthly newsletter giving subscribers all of the political and economic analysis to understand the built environment space. Subscribe below.
Our Clients
London City Airport
We helped the airport achieve planning to expand, working through regulatory, political and local challenges, including on environmental and noise issues. Using a communications strategy and supporting analysis we helped convince keyaudiences the expansion was good for local people, local government, and the UK economy more widely
Mace and the Commonwealth Games
We helped construction firm Mace win a contract to deliver the 2022 Commonwealth Games construction work by producing new analysis showing their project would help deliver an economic boost of at least £1.5bn for the West Midlands economy, as a result of the construction phase alone, with further benefits ongoing each year beyond it
Air Products
We provided the environmental and economic impact analyses for this provider to successfully negotiate both central and local government permissions to turn an old estuary-based industrial site into a clean energy installation.
Your Housing Group
We helped this major northern housing association secure funding for new development sites by producing analysis on the impact of meeting local patterns of housing need, in terms of both economic and social value. The work supported both fundraising and planning.
